Wreckreation is a new racing game coming from the makers of Burnout, but will the game be available on Xbox Game Pass?
While there is the odd hint that Burnout may return at some point, the series has largely been dormant for over a decade.
Wreckreation has quite a bit more to it than the usual Burnout clone, though. Here is your answer if you’ll be able to play it on Game Pass.
Will Wreckreation be on Xbox Game Pass?

No, Wreckreation is not available on Xbox Game Pass, at least as of its release.
Wreckreation is releasing on October 28 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $40. If you are playing on Xbox, the game will require a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Core, which was formerly known as Xbox Live Gold, to get access to playing the game online. Luckily, it is not an online-only game, with solo play available as well.
In Wreckreation, players can edit and adjust the world as much as they can customize their car. You can place loops, ramps, and set all kinds of challenges for yourself to overcome. This game seems to be just as much about putting your own twist on the world as it is racing around the track and causing crashes.
While an endlessly customizable world for a racing game is interesting, we are interested to see how long that can keep a player’s attention. For the vast majority of people playing, they will care more about the arcade racing action and completing objectives. A world editor will likely produce some really cool fan creations, but will it be enough to make Wreckreation stand out?
Will Wreckreation Ever Come to Xbox Game Pass?
There is no indication that Wreckreation will ever be on Xbox Game Pass.
However, it is possible that the game could come to the subscription service in the future. That said, we wouldn’t suggest relying on that possibility.
Wreckreation is developed by Three Fields Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic. While Three Fields has never had a game on the service, THQ Nordic does have several that have come sooner or later, but never a day-one release. That said, we would be very surprised to see the game on the service within the first year of the game’s release. If you want to play Wreckreation, we highly recommend waiting for a sale over taking the bet that it will be on Game Pass one day.
