Everyone knows that Valve is currently developing the long-awaited Steam Machine, but a new, secret Steam Controller unboxing video has been uploaded to the Steam storefront, which is sure to be a needed accessory for the console.
Steam has held dominion over much of gaming for years, and it’s showing its hand even further with the upcoming Steam Machine. As with all consoles, expect a flurry of handy accessories and devices designed to complement your new Steam machine, one of which is sure to be the new Steam Controller.
Steam Controller Unboxing Video Discovered on Steam

I’ll preface by saying that—as of writing—the video is unavailable to watch right now, so you will have to wait a bit longer to see the new controller in action.
However, the ‘steam_controller_unboxing_2026’ ID exists on Steam, and its last update was on April 20 (again, at the time of writing), as shown by Brad Lynch and various other social media posts.
It’s unclear how the long video is going to be, or if there will be any information tied to it, such as pricing or release date, but this does all suggest that the actual video must be arriving soon.
If it does, it also makes us wonder if we’re about to get new Steam Machine information to go along with it. One of the most recent updates was that the Steam Machine will target 1080p at 30 FPS for Steam Deck-verified games.
A release window or pricing would be a much-needed update, considering Linus Tech Tips thinks the Steam Machine price will be around $700!
