Rematch players have discovered an exploit that enables their character to move faster by jumping instead of running. Sloclap has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix.
Rematch, SloClap’s latest football-based, multiplayer title, has released to massive success, selling over a million copies within just 5 days. To keep the fun going, the developers have a list of updates and improvements already lined up for the game, with crossplay being one of the major priorities. Along with this list, Rematch developers will also need to release a fix for the jump speed issue.
Jumping is Faster than Running in Rematch, Devs Are Working on A Fix

A post on the r/Rematch subreddit shows multiple players choosing to jump instead of run across the pitch. This technique allows them to move from one end to the other much faster. While the jumping players look quite ridiculous—flopping around like fish out of water—it’s actually a more efficient way to cross the field compared to running.
Sloclap has addressed the issue, confirming that the development team is aware of it and describing it as “an unintended and unpopular technical problem.” They plan to implement a fix very soon, and players can expect this exploit to be resolved “before this weekend.” The community is pleased with the prompt response from the development team and looks forward to the upcoming fix.
In other news, Insider Gaming’s review for Rematch scored it a 4 out of 5 (Great), stating, “It’s not perfect. But the foundation is incredibly strong, the fun far outweighs the flaws, and Sloclap has proven that it’s listening and iterating quickly. If this is Rematch at launch, I’m excited to see what it becomes.” Check out the full review here.
