A fresh content drop in Fortnite has added a new, powerful weapon to the loot pool, and we’re here to tell you exactly how to secure Storm Beast’s Pom Poms.
Introduced in the June 18 update, the final content drop before Epic Games’ month-long summer break, Storm Beast’s Pom Poms are a rare but powerful item that can turn the tide in your favor in any match.
There are a few ways to get your hands on this item, which will only be available for a limited time until the end of the season, all of which we’ve detailed.
Where to Find Storm Beast’s Pom Poms in Fortnite

The Storm Beast’s Pom Poms items are available from a variety of sources in Fortnite, though only one is guaranteed.
If you desperately want the item, purchase it for 400 Gold Bars from Haylee Skye in the northeastern area of Pumped Power.
You may want to save your Gold for other purchases, however, and the good news is the Storm Beast’s Poms Poms are available through other means. However, this requires relying on RNG.
Here are all the options for obtaining the Storm Beast’s Pom Poms.
- Haylee Skye (Guaranteed): Purchase the item from this NPC in the northeastern area of Pumped Power for 400 Gold.
- Academy Tech Labs: Loot the Academy Tech Lab vaults, marked on the map with a flask and Supernova image.
- Weapon Stands: The Academy Tech Lab offers guaranteed Weapon Stands, though they can also be found scattered elsewhere across the map.
- B-Rank Hero Caches: Storm Beast’s Pom Poms are a potential loot drop from B-Rank or higher Hero Caches.
Securing Storm Beast’s Pom Poms is the only way to achieve five eliminations as a Storm Beast, a Week 2 Quest.
Are Storm Beast’s Pom Poms Available in Ranked?
No, Storm Beast’s Poms Poms are not in the loot pool for Ranked play in Fortnite this season. Even if you head to Haylee Skye, the item won’t be available for purchase.
Specific reasons have not been provided for the loot’s removal in the mode, though this is a popular occurrence each season with items that are considered to be overpowered.
This does mean that those in Ranked won’t be able to complete the specific Week 2 quest if they stay in competitive mode, so consider dipping into unranked play to secure the XP reward.
