The next Fortnite update is shaping up to be a big one, with two new Epic-created game modes arriving alongside the latest slew of content updates.
Fortnite‘s next update, set for 18 June, is the final update for around a month, due to Epic Games’ annual summer break, but it’s delivering plenty to whet the appetite.
For Battle Royale players, Blitz Royale is announced for release tomorrow and introduces a new mode designed for mobile players, though it will be available across all platforms.
Blitz Royale features up to 32 players with a “rogue-like” design and full crossplay support, geared for bite-sized games that are finished in around five minutes.
According to rumors, Blitz Royale will have weekly seasons with the return of Avatar items and a TMNT crossover on the horizon.
What Else is in the Fortnite update?

The update also unlocks Super Styles in the Chapter 6, Season 4 Battle Pass, along with Superman for those who didn’t opt to purchase the bonus tiers with V-Bucks to immediately unlock the skin, along with a new mini-event.
If that’s not enough, the update is also set to introduce LEGO Fortnite Expeditions, another new game mode created by Epic for those who are lured by the minifigures.
Full details on LEGO Fortnite Expeditions are not yet revealed, though we know there are three interchangeable classes to choose from.
On top of that, a new Fortnite Festival season is due to kick off, with Bruno Mars now reportedly the focus, while Fortnite Ballistic is receiving a fresh update with a new map, more weapons, and a warm-up lobby.
While the Epic Games team is off for the company-wide summer break, weekly challenges will continue to be updated, so you won’t miss out on the sweet XP needed to complete the Battle Passes.
