In a new statement, XBOX’s Asha Sharma talked about the company’s revenue improving and celebrated new releases, but also said they’re working hard to catch up with the huge demand for XBOX consoles.
CEO Asha Sharma hasn’t shied away from speaking out publicly about the state of XBOX and has been very hands-on about improving the brand, including handling customer support tickets. The XBOX figure has also revealed that ‘Console sales remain constrained by supply.’
Are Gamers Struggling to Buy XBOX Consoles?

Hot on the heels of the explosive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launch, Asha Sharma made sure to praise MW4, along with Minecraft and WoW Forever, in a social media post on X.
She added: ‘In Q1, XBOX revenue declined 2% YoY, compared with a 10% decline a quarter ago, while our accountability margin improved,’ and that ‘PC platform revenue grew double digits.’

Lots of positives to take then. Sharma also addressed the production of XBOX consoles and their availability on the general market right now:
‘Console sales remain constrained by supply, with more demand than consoles available. We’re working to get more consoles into players’ hands, including through our expanded refurbishment program. We’re making progress, with a lot more work ahead.’
Sharma isn’t saying outright you can’t buy XBOX consoles, as they still appear available across most major online US and UK retailers we’ve checked. However, some stores are selling them for well above MSRP, due to their scarcity.
