If you want to play Revenge of the Savage Planet with friends, here is everything you need to know about the game’s cross-platform status and whether you can play split-screen in couch co-op.
Co-op games have experienced a massive resurgence. Three months after its release, Monster Hunter Wilds remains the best-selling game of 2025. Meanwhile, many believe that Split Fiction made a strong case to be considered the best game of the year, and it is even receiving a film adaptation with Sydney Sweeney taking the lead role.
And if that wasn’t already enough, players expect Elden Ring Nightrein to be a hit sensation, and there are other exciting games in the pipeline, like FBC: Firebreak, Subnautica 2, and Borderlands 4. It’s an excellent time to be a co-op fan, which also applies to Raccoon Logic Studios’ latest project.
Is Revenge of the Savage Planet Crossplay?

Revenge of the Savage Planet supports cross-play between any console, regardless of whether you are on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC.
The standard edition of the game costs $39.99, which means both players must purchase it before they can play together. In saying that, the game is also available on day one for free if you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscriber.
This should make it easier for players to convince their friends to join them on this adventure. But if they don’t want to wait, you can purchase the Cosmic Hoarder Edition for $49.99, which features early access.
As for what players can expect, the game features four alien planets to explore, and players are tasked with scanning, capturing, and cataloging the planets and creatures. Each planet has mysteries to solve, and there are new abilities and tools to experiment with.
Does Revenge of the Savage Planet Have Split-Screen?
As long as you have a spare controller, you can play Revenge of the Savage Planet split-screen with a friend.
On the official Revenge of the Savage Planet website, Raccoon Logic Studios explained, “Experience the nostalgia-tinged joy of sitting on the same couch and playing on the same screen with someone you love. Like the olden days when the world was young and we were happy.”
In other gaming news, The Precinct launches soon, Rematch will have an open beta later this month, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to Switch 2.
