If you’re wondering whether or not you can use a PlayStation 5 DualSense or licensed Xbox Series X|S controller to play Wildcard on PC, you’ve come to the right place.
Gaming is so interchangeable and customizable nowadays that you can use peripheral devices from most formats on different platforms. Wildcard isn’t available on PlayStation or Xbox (for now), and it means that PC is the de facto home for the 2v2 MOBA online title.
But this doesn’t necessarily rule out the ability to use controllers from elsewhere.
Can You Use a PS5 Controller With Wildcard?

It’s 100% confirmed that Wildcard can be played with an official PlayStation 5 DualSense controller.
I’ve grown up as a console gamer, so I can understand wanting to use a gaming pad instead of a mouse and keyboard. Thanks to the Wildcard Steam page, we can see that PlayStation controllers have “Full Controller Support.”
This means that the DualSense is fully compatible. I’ve played Steam titles where PS5 controller support is either limited or partially incorporated. It can lead to funky controls and necessary remapping to make it work. This shouldn’t be the case here.
Can You Use an Xbox Controller With Wildcard?
You can also use an official Xbox controller to play Wildcard on Steam.
You can get the pen out and start checking off every box. Xbox joins PlayStation in the eligible controllers column. Again, the confirmation comes courtesy of the Wildcard Steam page under the same section.
Xbox has full support, and it means you have a lot of flexibility in how you want to play Wildcard on PC!
I’m glad we’ve been able to answer this question for you. This isn’t all, though, as we have more burning Wildcard questions to answer: When is the next Wildcard Playtest, how to invite friends to your party, and what to do with Packs.
