When is Wildcard Coming Out? Latest Release Details

Wildcard is an innovative 2v2 card-collecting arena battler. The dynamic action plays out in real-time, meaning you have to think on your feet, and if you’re enjoying the playtest and want to know more about its future, you’re in the right place.

Many online games featuring guns or action favor the usual formats: 5v5 and 6v6. You also get the occasional 1v1 action with Rocket League, or people still throwing down in Rust in CoD. Wildcard deviates from conventional ideologies by going with a 2v2 setup and throwing multiple genres into the mix.

The game is undergoing extensive testing before a full debut. So here’s the latest release details on the CCAG (card-collecting action game).

Do we Know When Wildcard is Coming Out?

The latest indicators suggest Wildcard is releasing properly in 2025—although this is subject to change.

To be clear, developer The Wildcard Alliance’s main goal is surely playtesting. Wildcard has experienced multiple waves of Alpha Testing within the titles’ first few weeks and months of being active on Steam.

We’re not even in the beta testing stage yet, which means there’s a long way to go. But the game’s Steam store page tentatively lists Wildcard for a 2025 release date.

I’ve extensively checked the Wildcard Discord server, and it also shows that a long-term release date hasn’t been mentioned. Or if it, it’s being kept as internal information for now. If there are any updates concerning Wildcard’s release date, we’ll update you and let you know.

What is Wildcard?

Wildcard is a brand-new 2v2 card-collecting arena-action multiplayer title.

You choose a Champion to control, with each one having different abilities and skills, and you enlist the help of Summons to break down the other team’s defence, defeat their Goalie, break the team’s shield, and score to win the match.

The action is continuous as well, meaning you need to think fast. You need to change your cards mismatch, adapt your strategy, and find a way to break through your opponent’s Champions, Summons, and eventually the Goalie.

What do you think of Wildcard? Is the concept different enough and wild enough to work? Which feature looks the most appealing to you? Let us know in the Insider Gaming forum where you can strike up a conversation.
