Wildcard Alpha 4 Update Patch Notes—Champions Receive Major Changes & More

The latest big-time update for Wildcard has landed. Forget everything you knew about the frenetic arena-battling PvP title. The Wildcard Alliance has dropped the Alpha 4 Update, changing Champions, revamping combat, and delivering much-needed quality of life improvements.

Wildcard has been through rigorous pre-alpha testing to this point. The Closed Alpha Playtests are limited, participants need to be invited, and getting yourself involved in the action is a big deal.

Whether you’re new to the game or you’ve experienced your fair share of Wildcard playtests, the Alpha 4 Update promises the “biggest update yet.”

Wildcard’s Alpha 4 Update has changed how every Champion plays, rejigging the meta and skillset for each character. There are new gameplay options and a classic visual-damage number aesthetic, and there’s a new UI and keybinds addition.

We have the full Wildcard patch notes below.

All Wildcard Alpha 4 Patch Notes

MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Complete Champion Overhaul – All 4 champions rebuilt from the ground up with unique playstyles
  • Champion & Summon Skins System – Customize your look with multiple override options
  • Combat Revolution – Melee cleave attacks, damage windows, and visual damage numbers
  • Custom Keybinds – Finally! Set up your controls exactly how you want them
  • Enhanced UI – New summon details panel with comprehensive information

GAMEPLAY PHILOSOPHY: This update focuses on making each champion feel unique and powerful in their own way. Whether you’re a tank player who loves getting in the thick of things, or a controller who prefers tactical gameplay, every champion now has a distinct identity that shines through their abilities.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Due to the extensive champion changes, we recommend experimenting with different talent builds
  • Combat feels significantly different – take time to adjust to the new cleave mechanics
    • Some of your favorite strategies may need tweaking, but new powerful combinations await!

Ready to dive in? Let’s break down everything that’s changed!
