There are tons of resources to farm for in Subnautica 2, and they’re all tied to the game’s consistent progressions. One thing you’ll need towards the latter half of the early access is Creature Enamel, but its name might be misleading.
Once you know where to look, it’s an easy resource to farm for, but with an ocean as vast as Subnautica 2‘s, it’s just as easy to get lost. However, with this guide, you’ll know the perfect spot to farm Creature Enamel.

Where To Find Creature Enamel In Subnautica 2

Creature Enamel can be found in one specific area in Subnautica 2, and it’s fairly easy to find.
Now, based on the name, you might be expecting it to be harvestable from some of the wildlife, but it’s actually a mineable resource, just like anything else. It’s identifiable by the three white prongs sticking out of a tar-like substance, and it’s harvested with the Sonic Resonator.

As for where it’s found, you’ll need to reach the alien ruins segment of the map. From the Alien Ruins Signal, you’ll want to head roughly 200 meters southeast, where you’ll find a large rock formation littered with Creature Enamel. Be careful, though, as it’s heavily guarded by a group of Needler Mangos.
What Is Creature Enamel Used For In Subnautica 2?
Creature Enamel serves one very important purpose: to craft Enameled Glass.
Now this resource is used in plenty of crafting recipes, ranging from vehicles to numerous Tadpole and Tool upgrades. It’s especially important for the Tadpole upgrade that allows the submarine to dive deeper into the ocean, as that’s essential for further exploration.

That being said, you’ll want to make sure you have a healthy stock of Creature Enamel at your base, so you don’t have to keep dealing with those pesky Needler Mangos.
