Fans have just been informed that The Legend of Zelda movie’s Ganondorf will be played by Australian actor Uli Latukefu.
We have received several updates about The Legend of Zelda movie across 2026. First, we were informed that the live-action adaptation had already wrapped filming by April; then, in May, we were told that the movie should arrive sooner than expected. Now, we have been informed about the casting of one of the key characters of the franchise.
Uli Latukefu is Playing Ganondorf in the Zelda Live-Action Adaptation
The information about Ganondorf’s casting in The Legend of Zelda movie comes from The New York Times’ Kyle Buchanan. In his latest post on X (formerly Twitter), Buchanan informed players that Uli Latufeku will be taking on the role of the main antagonist of the series. Latufeku has been featured across various movies and TV shows since 2014, including Black Adam, Alien: Covenant, Young Rock, Countdown, and more.
Latukefu has some big shoes to fill with Ganondorf, who is the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda series. Fans who have been actively engaged with the series understand how significant this character is to the lore and the overall narrative. It will be exciting to see how Latukefu brings him to life in a live-action adaptation and how the crew handles his makeup and costumes. Hopefully, we will get a glimpse of the character soon in a trailer.
