The Last of Us Season 3 has cast John Goodman as Joey, Laura Bailey as Seraphite leader Elizabeth, and Ian Alexander as Paco. Bailey and Alexander previously played Abby and Lev in The Last of Us Part 2.
The news came from a Variety report that reiterated that season 3 of the HBO series might be the final season of the video game adaptation.
The Last of Us Season 3 Reveals Three New Cast Members
Goodman is known to many for his time on Roseanne and in series such as The Righteous Gemstones, and he plays an original character in the series. Joey and Paco, played by Ian Alexander, are a friendly duo. Unlike Goodman, Alexander has a history with the franchise, having played Lev in The Last of Us Part 2, a boy whom Abby helps rescue from the Seraphite cult.
Speaking of the cult, they will be featured in season 3, as Laura Bailey is set to play Elizabeth, one of the leaders of the Seraphite cult. Bailey previously voiced Abby in the second Last of Us video game and also voices Mary Jane Watson in Insomniac‘s Spider-Man games.
Other confirmed cast members include Kyriana Kratter and Michelle Mao, who play Lev and Yara. This season will also be told from Abby’s perspective. Kaitlin Dever will portray Abby in the upcoming season.
