Battlestate Games has taken to social media to highlight a new Escape from Tarkov event, one that has a neat bonus for those chasing down their Kord Breach battle pass tiers. From today, daily tasks will reward users with battle pass documents, which they can use to climb the ladder and unlock exclusive rewards.
It’s all centered around an escalating conflict between the game’s Scav faction and PMC groups, which are locked in a vicious and brutal fight. It could be a precursor to the impending Scav Life DLC, but that’s not all that likely, as Battlestate has yet to say a word about the incoming expansion.
Get Your Tarkov Battle Pass Docs
In a post on social media, the Battlestate Games team revealed that something is happening that’s changing the face of daily tasks in Escape from Tarkov:
A rumour quickly spread amongst Scavs about a convoy of fighters in black uniforms that had come under mortar fire. According to those who managed to reach the scene, the attackers had seized two vehicles, crammed to the brim with various documents.
It is said that the papers were connected to TerraGroup. Some of the documents were sold to traders in exchange for supplies which, according to Scavs themselves, ‘are worth more than any amount of money’.
Shortly afterwards, PMCs began to appear at the traders’ bases. According to available information, the mercenaries were offered urgent assignments involving the search for and recovery of the intercepted TerraGroup documentation.
Meanwhile, the situation at Lighthouse area has not calmed down. Firefights between PMC groups and the Scavs continue with the same intensity. Some attribute this to a temporary increase in the volume of airdrops along this stretch of coastline — too much cargo is passing through the area to go unnoticed.
To refresh the rewards for daily operational tasks, you must use the ‘replace’ option or wait for the daily tasks to refresh.
If you want the quickest path possible to these battle pass-related rewards, simply refresh your tasks (possibly absorbing a trader reputation hit) to see what has changed. From what we can see, the tasks are geared towards this ongoing battle between Scavs and PMC factions.
From the description, it also seems like Lighthouse remains the focus during this event, with more airdrops hitting the map.
