[DEBUNKED] The Duskbloods Release Date Might Have Accidentally Been Revealed

The September 24 release date has since been debunked. It’s been revealed that an editor for The Guardian included the information by mistake, and that’s it’s not accurate. It’s currently being amended.

That means that, as things stand, no release date for The Duskbloods has been revealed.

The Duskbloods finally appears to have a release date set in stone, although the announcement has arrived in a rather unusual fashion. Instead of a traditional reveal from Nintendo or FromSoftware, the date seems to have been accidentally included in a preview published ahead of the game’s upcoming Closed Network Test.

According to the apparent leak, The Duskbloods will launch on September 24, 2026, adding yet another major release to an already packed Fall schedule. With Wolverine, Blood of Dawnwalker and Control Resonant all expected to arrive around the same period, you should have plenty to keep you busy.

Several outlets were recently given the opportunity to preview The Duskbloods ahead of its Closed Network Test, which is scheduled to take place this weekend. The early impressions have generally been very positive, with previews praising what FromSoftware appears to be doing with its class-based, multiplayer-focused experience.

However, The Guardian seemingly revealed one detail that wasn’t included in the other coverage: the game’s release date.

At the very bottom of its preview, the publication included a simple sentence stating: “The Duskbloods is released on 24 September.” There was no additional explanation or accompanying announcement, while none of the other outlets that previewed the game appear to have mentioned a release date.

Given how casually the information was presented, it seems increasingly likely that The Guardian accidentally published the date ahead of an official announcement. It’s possible the information could have been included in error or could still be subject to change, but the wording certainly makes it sound like September 24 is currently the intended release date.

If accurate, players won’t have long to wait after this weekend’s network test to get their hands on FromSoftware’s latest project. An official confirmation from Nintendo or FromSoftware will ultimately be needed, but for now, September 24 looks like the date to watch.
