There’s no doubt that Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most hyped video games of all time, and as we inch closer to its November 19 release date, fans are more desperate than ever to see the game in action.
Well, Rockstar is almost ready to lift the lid on gameplay, with a Netflix Extended Look scheduled for August 27. However, it seems a mysterious leaker has beaten the studio to the punch. Dubbed CYBERLEEK online, the leaker has stunned fans with snippets of gameplay alongside what appears to be the entire Leonida map, just days before Rockstar’s planned reveal.
While the leaked footage is believed to come from an earlier build of the game, potentially dating back to 2024 or even earlier, it still offers our first substantial glimpse at what GTA 6’s gameplay could look like. Of course, things may have been changed, updated, or cut entirely since then, but there’s plenty to dig into.
Are The CYBERLEEK GTA 6 Leaks Credible?

As far as we can tell, the CYBERLEEK GTA 6 leaks appear to be legitimate, and there’s one major reason to believe they’re real.
The biggest piece of evidence is Take-Two issuing DMCA takedown notices against videos containing the leaked gameplay. With AI-generated GTA 6 footage becoming increasingly convincing over the past few months, it can be difficult to separate genuine footage from fake videos. However, Take-Two actively taking action against the leaked material certainly suggests there’s something legitimate behind it.
That hasn’t stopped CYBERLEEK from teasing even more leaks, either, with the leaker reportedly planning to release additional footage over the coming days. If that happens, we could get an even better look at some of GTA 6’s potential gameplay features. For now, though, here’s everything major we’ve uncovered from the leaks so far.
Every Major Feature Revealed In The CYBERLEEK GTA 6 Leaks
Naturally, we can’t share the leaked gameplay videos themselves, but we can break down exactly what has been shown.
It’s also important to stress that this footage appears to come from an older build of GTA 6. It’s difficult to determine exactly when it was recorded, but all signs point to it being at least a year old, if not even more so. That means Rockstar has had plenty of time to change, remove, or overhaul anything seen in the footage.
In other words, just because something appears in these leaks doesn’t guarantee it’ll make it into the final game. Still, the footage provides a fascinating glimpse at how GTA 6 has evolved during development, and there’s plenty of juicy information to unpack. So, let’s take a closer look at the biggest features revealed so far.
The Leonida Map

Kicking things off with a bang, CYBERLEEK has reportedly revealed the entire map for Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans have spent years piecing together their own versions of Leonida based on details from the game’s trailers, but this leaked map could provide our most substantial look yet at the world Rockstar has created.
According to the leak, Leonida is split into five counties:
- Vice Dale County
- Mariana County
- Kelly County
- Leonard County
- Lummox County
To put it simply, the map is absolutely massive. Zooming into different sections reveals increasingly detailed layouts, offering a better idea of what each individual area could look like. There’s even an airport located on a small island far to the south, while the majority of the map appears to be concentrated across one enormous landmass surrounded by ocean.
There’s also plenty of variety across Leonida, with clear signs of different biomes and environments. From the sprawling streets of Vice City to marshlands, mountains and smaller islands, it looks like Rockstar has created a map with plenty of contrasting environments to explore. If this leaked layout remains accurate, it could be series-defining.
New Honor & Stamina Systems

Moving on to the gameplay footage itself, several intriguing new systems have been spotted, including what appear to be Honor and Stamina Systems.
The Stamina System is fairly self-explanatory. In one clip, Jason can be seen beating a delivery driver with a wrench—as you do in GTA—while a stamina bar appears in the top-left corner of the screen. As Jason repeatedly swings the weapon, the bar begins to deplete, suggesting that certain physical actions could be limited by stamina in GTA 6.
Then there’s the potential Honor System. In the same clip, Jason’s icon can be seen in the bottom-right corner of the screen, with what appears to be an emoji underneath it. The face seems to change into a frown after Jason attacks the driver and is spotted by police. Exactly what this icon represents is unclear, but some fans believe it could point towards an Honor System similar to the one featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Reworked Wanted System

Few features are as synonymous with Grand Theft Auto as the Wanted System, and we’ve all experienced the chaos of having five stars and the entire police force hunting us down. However, GTA 6 could be taking things a step further, with the leaked footage seemingly showing the return of the Six-Star Wanted Level.
To add to that, beneath the Wanted Level in the top-right corner of the screen, three icons can reportedly be seen: a clothes hanger, a face, and a vehicle. Many fans believe these could represent the different ways police identify you while searching for a suspect—your clothing, appearance, and the vehicle you were last seen driving.
If that’s the case, evading the police could involve more than simply finding a hiding spot. Changing your clothes or switching vehicles could potentially make it harder for officers to identify and track you, adding an entirely new layer to committing crimes and escaping the law.
Loadouts & Storage

Once Jason has beaten the man to death, he quickly hops back in his vehicle. However, before he makes it, he passes by the back of his car, where two pop-ups appear: Loadout, and Storage.
This seemingly confirms that GTA 6 will feature weapon loadouts as opposed to the typical Rockstar fashion of carrying every weapon on you at once. Perhaps GTA 6 will be more methodical, and you’ll instead be able to store gear in your vehicles (and likely other places) and equip different loadouts for different scenarios.
Briefly touching on loadouts, another feature showcased was the ability to pick up weapons and throw them. When first fighting the driver, Jason picks up the wrench that the driver had on him, and there’s a prompt to throw it. Small detail, but one that could hint towards an even more in-depth combat system.
NPC Interactions

GTA 6 also appears to be borrowing elements from Red Dead Redemption 2’s NPC interaction system. Before Jason fights the driver, options to “Defuse” or “Warn” can be seen in the bottom-left corner.
These differ from RDR2’s usual options, potentially suggesting GTA 6’s dialogue choices will be more context-sensitive and change depending on the situation.
Vehicle Health & Fuel

When Jason enters his car, two HUD icons appear, seemingly indicating fuel and vehicle damage.
A fuel station also appears on the mini-map, suggesting players may need to refuel their vehicles. It’s unclear how significant either system will be, but both could add another layer of immersion to GTA 6.
Smaller Details
These were some of the bigger features we picked out from the leaked gameplay, but there were tons of finer details that fans have managed to spot, including:
- Character Attribute System
- Playable Basketball
- Cash on hand & Cash in vault System
- Water & Object physics
- Closer look at how vehicles drive (appears to be weightier than GTA 5)
- Ray Tracing
- Vehicle Interactions
- New fighting animations
- Improved NPC reactions to their surroundings
- Police seem to search specific areas on the map when looking for you
- “Pick Up” & “Loot” options for bodies
- General visual details, including foliage, hair, and clothing physics.
With more leaks potentially on the way, there’s a chance even more gets revealed, but for now, this is what we managed to spot. Let us know in the official Insider Gaming Discord Server if you managed to catch anything else.
