Take-Two CEO is Terrified of GTA 6’s Expectations

Take-Two CEO has discussed how being on the sidelines can be both exciting and terrifying, given the high expectations for GTA 6.

As we wait for GTA 6 to arrive, or even a new trailer to arrive, players have to make do with the frequent updates from Strauss Zelnick. Recently, the CEO discussed how console players are the core consumers for GTA 6 and Rockstar. Now, he has spoken about what it feels like to deal with a release like GTA 6.

The Goal With GTA 6 is to Deliver Something “That’s Never Been Experienced Before”

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed what it’s like to deal with the launch of a game like GTA 6. Zelnick first stated that the aim is to “deliver to consumers something that’s never been experienced before.” The CEO added that being on the sidelines while being “so close to the front of the sidelines” can be exciting as well as terrifying, as the “expectations are so high.”

The CEO also spoke about how the team “never claims success before it occurs”, stating that they have the “most amazing creative teams” who are not only encouraged to pursue their passion, but also are insisted that they do so. Take Two tries “to give them unlimited financial, creative human resources, and then they aim to deliver perfection.”

In other news, Take-Two CEO recently reaffirmed Grand Theft Auto 6’s November 2026 release date iicon in Las Vegas. Additionally, even after a leak, Take-Two Interactive’s stock prices have added over $1 billion in value to the company.
