Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – Everything We Know So Far

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an upcoming action-adventure shooter that is set to take fans to Metropolis in the shoes – and fins – of DC’s most notorious supervillain bunch. There’s much in store, and fans have been looking forward to playing this for nearly a decade.

Rocksteady has had a really tough time getting Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League out, but now we’re in the final stretch. For one last time, if you’re excited just as much as we are, here’s everything you need to catch up on before Suicide Squad launches later this month.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Release Date

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on February 2, 2024. However, players who have pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition will be able to play beginning January 30 as a part of the early access bonus that comes with it.

Previously, the release date was planned to be released in May 2023, which was already a delay from the original 2022 release timeline. But with us now less than a month away, there’s no stopping the crazy train this time.

What Platforms Will Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Be Released On?

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will simultaneously be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Pre-orders for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are live as we speak. Though if you’re not sure yet, maybe Rocksteady’s latest insider episode might convince you – or not.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Has 4 Playable Characters

Unlike Rocksteady’s previous games, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature 4 protagonists – the we know of yet – including King Shark, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot. This roster is only bound to grow. But for now, if you really love shooting your way through enemies with multiple characters, this might be the game for you.

Yes, There Are Live Service Elements

Sadly, Rocksteady, arguably the greatest single-player game studio ever, seems to have fallen victim to the live service fever. While there will be a story mode and co-op multiplayer online, most cosmetic items will only be available via a battle pass. That may or may not necessarily be a bad thing depending upon your perspective.

Will Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Continue The Arkhamverse?

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League batman

The events of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are set years after the ending of Batman: Arkham Knight. So it serves as a spin-off sequel. As per the lore, Superman convinces Bruce to return as Batman even though the world knows his identity.

Sometime later, Metropolis is invaded by Brainiac who manages to brainwash almost the entire JLA. With Batman, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, and other heroes under Brainiac’s mind control, Amanda Waller forms an unlike group of villain heroes, the Suicide Squad, to kill the Justice League and save the world.

Future Updates Are A Big Part of Rocksteady’s Roadmap

Rocksteady has promised they will continue support for many years to come. Their tentative roadmap includes future story expansions, new playable characters, in-game events, and more cosmetic items later down the line. Perhaps new features might be an addition too.

Whatever the case, Rocksteady will keep working to make Suicide Squad a better game, no matter how good or bad the reception is. It took them almost a decade after all, so they’re going to stick by it. If you’re buying a copy, you can rest easy knowing there will be plenty of post-launch content coming your way.

Will Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Be On PS Plus Or Xbox Game Pass?

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will not be available on PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass upon release. No announcements confirming such have been made, and neither do they look likely. Realistically speaking, it could happen, but a year or two after launch.
