Shift Up has revealed that they will be providing new details on their upcoming titles, Stellar Blade 2 and Project Spirits, in 2026.
The publisher of Stellar Blade has had an eventful year, having acquired Unbound, the studio of Resident Evil developer, last month. Now, through their recent financial results, we have received an insight into their performance over the past year and their plans for the future. It appears there is plenty to be excited about in 2026.
Stellar Blade 2 and Project Spirits Reveal Coming in 2026?
Through Shift Up’s latest financial results, players have been informed about their plans for 2026 and Beyond, which include the Stellar Blade sequel and details on Project Spirits, to be revealed this year. Additionally, the publisher has multiple PC and console titles in the works through their partnership with Unbound. Shift Up has managed to acquire and create multiple IPs across live service and PC/console segments. Upcoming Stellar Blade 2 and Unbound titles will be “first-party service”.
At the moment, players have no idea what Project Spirits is about, other than that it is an Unreal Engine 5 cross-platform title being developed for PC, consoles, and mobile. Tencent will publish the game, thanks to a new agreement between Shift Up and Level Infinite. The story is pretty much the same for the Stellar Blade sequel; however, an earlier tease suggested post-apocalyptic China as the new setting.
In other news, Stellar Blade 2 will not be revealed until it has reached a satisfactory quality, but players can now build ‘expectation’. Additionally, the original title could be coming to more platforms in the near future. What are your thoughts on Stellar Blade 2 and Project Spirits receiving new details in 2026?
