Stellar Blade Developer Teases More Platform Releases

Stellar Blade could be coming to more platforms in the near future.

Stellar Blade was originally a PlayStation exclusive in 2024. It was later ported to PC. Developer SHIFT UP Corporation is now touting the game’s success in its recent Q3 earnings report. They are also looking ahead to the Future of the Stellar Blade IP.

In the latest quarter, the game continued to sell copies steadily. In particular, the PC port saw strong sales, and its very positive Steam rating was highlighted in the report.

Stellar Blade Could See Releases on New Platforms

Furthermore, SHIFT UP Corporation expects the game’s popularity and overall brand to continue to grow. Additionally, they plan to make the game accessible to even more players.

To do that, they plan to run promotional sales across both platforms and are even considering expanding to platforms beyond PlayStation and PC.

“To further enhance brand recognition and boost sales, we plan to carry out various promotional activities and are considering additional platform expansions to make Stellar Blade accessible to more players,” it’s noted.

The Era of Console Exclusives Continues to Fade Away

Not only is PlayStation porting some of its popular exclusives to PC, but Microsoft continues to push the idea that “Everything is an Xbox.”

As such, major Microsoft releases, such as Halo, are now being ported to PlayStation. The strategy will continue, as the forthcoming Fable title will also be available on PlayStation. Learn more about Xbox games on PlayStation at this link.
