Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl finally has a PS5 release date, and it arrives on November 20, 2025.
GSC Game World’s post-apocalyptic, open-world FPS survival title was released for PC and Xbox Series consoles on November 20, 2024. The title was a timed exclusive for Xbox and is finally set to arrive on a brand new platform this year. The announcement at Gamescom was accompanied by a new trailer, which highlighted details about the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions.
Stalker 2 PS5 Release Date Trailer
Stalker 2’s PS5 release date trailer was revealed during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. The trailer featured new details about the PS5 version along with a glimpse of the enhanced capabilities of the PS5 Pro version, including increased fidelity and performance.
The PS5 enhancements include:
- Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback Support
- Gyro Aiming through Motion Sensor
- Speakers, Lightbar, and Touchpad Gesture Utilization
- Tempest 3D Audio
- Trophies
For the PS5 Pro, players will get:
- Improved shadow quality and resolution
- Enhanced global illumination
- Higher-quality reflections
- Improved volumetric fog
- Enhanced volumetric cloud rendering
Stalker 2 2025 Roadmap
As you wait for the PS5 version of Stalker 2, you can check out the 2025 roadmap for the title here. The developers are releasing an engine update soon, with the game being ported to Unreal Engine 5.5.4 to improve optimization further. Moreover, players will have the opportunity to explore new anomalies, missions, weather scenarios, and more.
