For Grand Theft Auto 6 to be delayed again would be unthinkable. It could genuinely cause riots at this point, but let’s check in to see if there are any late concerns about GTA 6 being delayed.
The absolute bedlam that another GTA 6 delay would cause is ridiculous. However, this is true. If Take-Two or Rockstar Games went ahead and, for whatever reason, delayed GTA 6 this close to launch, then we can just agree the game’s never coming out!
Will GTA 6 be Delayed Again Before November 19 Release Date?
Unless something major has happened internally, no, GTA 6 has not been delayed again, and is currently releasing on November 19, 2026, and brings one of the world’s longest waits to an end.
As of writing, we are two weeks away from launch. Another GTA 6 delay now would be a logistical nightmare for Rockstar, Take-Two, other developers and publishers, and of course, us, the general public.

If you need more comfort, GTA 6 review copies are in the hands of outlets as we speak. The GTA 6 review embargo date has already been revealed, and the game is coming out. It’s happening.
Back in May 2026, Take-Two confirmed the GTA 6 release date hadn’t changed, and Rockstar didn’t plan on another GTA 6 delay, even after the leaks.
How Many Times Has GTA 6 Been Delayed?
Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed twice, once in May 2025, and again in November 2025.
A third delay felt inevitable for the longest time. GTA 6 is going to be such a big game and has been in development for over 10 years. Rockstar is a perfectionist and will want every aspect of the game to be right.
First GTA 6 Delay
GTA 6 Trailer 1 first revealed a 2025 release window. There were internal concerns about this target, with much work to be done, but Take-Two and Rockstar carried that release window for a while, and it was tracking for Late 2025.
However, the decision was made in May 2025 to delay the game to May 26, 2026.
Second GTA 6 Delay
May 26, 2026 seemed a lot more set in stone, but once again, reports surfaced weeks and months out citing concerns that GTA 6 was also going to miss the revised date, and a second delay was likely.
Rockstar Games broke hundreds of millions of hearts by announcing that the May 26, 2026 deadline was now November 19, 2026. You’re now fully caught up!
