The Rocket League RLCS World Championship 2026 drew in the biggest audience in the game’s 11-year history.
Before this year, the 2022-23 World Championships were the most-watched, with a peak audience of over 468,000.
Now, that event is fifth, as 2026 has seen tremendous growth in viewership for the “soccar” video game’s competitive scene.
This could be due to Twitch Drops or the game’s resurgence in popularity and excitement for Rocket League’s move to Unreal Engine 6.
The Most-Watched Rocket League Tournaments Ever
According to Esports Charts, this year’s Worlds final peaked at 722,347 viewers during the semi-final between Team Falcons and Karmine Corp.
Meanwhile, Team Falcons’ Rocket League World Championship winning moment versus SpaceStation Gaming only drew in around 538k.
While this year’s tournament featured the biggest concurrent audience, it’s still behind the 2022-23 and 2021-21 World Championships in Hours Watched (9.98m and 9.33m respectively).
This was almost certainly due to those events having almost double the airtime, with 64-66 hours broadcast compared to this year’s 38 hours.

Somewhat surprisingly, the fourth most-watched tournament was a streamer event held by content creator Nicholas ‘Jynxzi’ Stewart.
Furthermore, the Boston Major from earlier this year is the second most-watched Rocket League tournament with a peak of 624k.
And the Paris Major just narrowly bested Jynxzi’s event with a concurrent audience of around 528k.
