The Pokémon Unite Aeos Crown 2027 tournament will potentially be the game’s last-ever esports tournament.
Earlier this year, the Pokémon Company announced that Unite will no longer be included in the Pokémon World Championships.
And within that announcement, the Aeros Crown 2027 was originally titled the “Final tournament,” though this could be due to a bad translation.
Either way, the upcoming Pokémon Unite tournament is set to feature the biggest prize pool Pokémon has ever seen.
$1m Pokémon Unite Aeos Crown Tournament
Aeos Crown 2027 will be the franchise’s first-ever event to have a prize pool reach the $1 million mark.
In fact, it doubles the prize pool of every Pokémon tournament ever, including all the World Championships.
The record was previously $500k, held by the Pokémon Unite World Championships in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.
The Aeos Crown 2027 prize pool is a combined sum of “cash prizes and supplementary awards”, but the Pokémon Company has not yet clarified any prize distributions.
However, it has been confirmed that the winning team will earn a physical crown for their accomplishment.

Everything You Need to Know About the Pokémon Unite Aeos Crown 2027
Aeos Crown 2027 will be a 32-team event held in Tokyo between March 20-21, 2027, with travel covered for all qualifying teams.
Pokémon Unite World Championships 2026 winners ZETA DIVISION will be directly invited to the finals.
The remaining 31 spots will then be decided via Online Regional Qualifiers, which will begin worldwide on Saturday, December 5.
Both the final day of qualifiers and offline finals of the tournament will feature the “All-Star Draft” format in which any Pokémon selected once cannot be picked again within the same match.
Matches from the final day of each qualifier and the Offline Finals will be broadcast live on official channels.
