Korean League of Legends pro Oh ‘Noah’ Hyeon-taek has announced his return to pro play after his LEC career appeared to be over.
Back in June, GIANTX dropped Noah from its LEC roster to promote academy ADC VÃctor ‘Flakked’ Lirola Tortosa.
It was believed that Noah, along with his former bot lane partner Yoon ‘Jun’ Se-jun would have to return to Korea for mandatory military service next year.
However, Noah has now revealed that he will be able to delay this and compete next year.
Noah Delays Military Service
The Korean botlaner took to Twitter to give a personal update to his fans and followers, revealing he had lost 18 kg of body weight since July.
He also revealed that he has been grinding solo queue back in Korea, reaching 1700lp with a 70% winrate, and announced he intends to compete in Europe again:
“Without competing for some months, I started to miss competition and I’m missing my friends in Europe and the LEC.
“I heard that I can delay military until 2028 (2 more years!) so I will try to comeback and put my everything until [my career] ends.
This tracks with Sheep Esports’ report that his former teammate Jun is set to sign with Team Heretics and also successfully delayed military service.

Korean law can restrict overseas travel for men who haven’t completed their mandatory military service.
Korean citizens aged 25 or older who are eligible for service but not yet enlisted must receive permission from the Military Manpower Administration to leave the country.
Noah will turn 25 in October, hence his concerns that he would be forced to retire his esports career.
