Resident Evil Requiem Writer Accidentally Reveals DLC Plans

We’re still waiting on the first details for the Resident Evil Requiem DLC announced months ago. It’s still happening, and one of the game’s writers might have let slip key details about the content’s direction.

The first major update on any Requiem DLC arrived a couple of months after launch. It’s been a bit quiet since then, although some side DLC was shadow-dropped. In terms of the main story DLC, Capcom is yet to drop a major reveal, with Veronica taking precedence right now. However, one of the game’s devs let some details slip.

In an interview at MEADOWLARK COMIC CON (through Distance NERDing Podcast & Comic Cons), Haris Orkin, a Freelance Game Writer, Narrative Designer, Screenwriter, and Novelist who’s worked on many AAA games, talked about his work on Requiem.

Orkin also discussed Resident Evil Requiem’s upcoming story expansion:

“We have an arc for Spencer in Requiem. They kind of you understand that more and in the DLC, you will understand it even further. So yeah! I probably shouldn’t say that, but yeah.”

Orkin not only worked on Resident Evil Requiem’s main game, but is also credited as a writer for Resident Evil: Shadows of Rose—an expansion for Resident Evil Village.

*SPOILER ALERT, IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM*

New footage of Spencer in RE9 showed what we believed to be an egomaniacal creator showing remorse for creating and unleashing the T-Virus, and it was a different side of Spencer than we’ve ever seen.

The Requiem story DLC is likely to give us even more backstory on him.
