A new datamine details cut content from Resident Evil Requiem, including a Merchant, a seizure mechanic, and much more
Resident Evil Requiem has been out for quite some time and has received a warm reception from fans across the globe. The developers have already provided new content for the game, with the latest DLC that was shadowdropped. However, today we are discussing the content that didn’t make it into the final game.
Resident Evil Requiem Datamine Reveals Merchant Character, New Mechanics, Tutorial Screens, and More
A recent post by DuskGolem on X (formerly Twitter) highlights a tweet by umesooooo that discusses cut content from Resident Evil Requiem. First and foremost is a Merchant-type character being seen with a full-fledged weapon customization screen. There was a sub-mission list like Resident Evil 4. Additionally, an image related to Toxic Ammo was revealed, featuring a purple, poisonous-looking bullet.
The next findings show a map on which we can see Leon and Grace at the same time. There was also a cut animation where Emily was shown being abducted by zombies. Moreover, a ‘Professional Difficulty’ was identified, with a screenshot titled ‘Leon’s Seizure’ showing this as the greatest concern, as Leon’s seizures could occur more frequently.
Then, the Resident Evil Requiem cut content also appeared to include a tutorial on repairing a broken motorcycle in the game. Furthermore, it seems that the blood collection kit could be used with Leon, and the character would be able to use it as an enhancement drug when the blood collection reached a specific amount. These items could increase Leon’s stamina, critical hit rate, and shooting capabilities on each weapon.
There were also details about a tutorial scene on investigation mechanics during a murder investigation. Lastly, there was also ammo that could do combustion damage, a way to switch between normal and toxic rounds, and other additions to weapon UI.
In other news, the first trailer for Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie has finally been revealed to the general public. Additionally, have a look at some lewd Leon merchandise for RE9.
