VOID Interactive has filed for a new trademark that could suggest the developer is developing a new narrative-driven Ready or Not spinoff.
VOID Interactive has become a highly notable game development studio thanks to the success of Ready or Not. It’s an intense, tactical SWAT simulator that many experts say is also very realistic. Now, it seems the studio may be expanding the Ready or Not franchise beyond a tactical first-person shooter.
New Ready or Not Game
On September 28, 2026, VOID Interactive filed a trademark for “WARRANTS: A READY OR NOT STORY” with the EUIPO. Although trademarks don’t usually reveal the nature of a game, the title in question already strongly suggests this will be a story-driven one.
Unlike most other game-related filings, VOID has classified this product for classes 9, 14, 16, 18, 25, 28, 35, 36, 41, and 42. While it covers many categories, it means Warrants: A Ready or Not Story will be protected for these goods and services under the trademark.
We compared this trademark with the original Ready or Not filing, and it is word-for-word the same. So, there is little room for doubt as to whether this is a new game.

How Will A Narrative-Driven Ready or Not Game Work?
Ready or Not is not a narrative game. Sure, it has several connected missions and some lore that ties together the overall background, but it doesn’t feature a fleshed-out storyline. Warrants: A Ready or Not Story could be VOID’s attempt to expand this universe with a proper narrative.
If you take a look at VOID Interactive’s current job listings, you will notice a position for Associate Cinematic Animator that mentions a few interesting things.
“Creating high-quality character animation for in-game vignettes, cinematics and scripted story sequences.
Creating character performances that strengthen the emotion and impact of narrative sequences.”
We have seen many first-person shooters with some of the best story campaigns, so there is no reason why Ready or Not wouldn’t achieve something similar. The game doesn’t hold back with disturbing themes to achieve accuracy, and that could be something to look forward to in a narrative setting.
We don’t know how far along this project is yet, since there has been no official announcement. But now that we have our first public piece of information, it shouldn’t take that long for VOID Interactive to reveal the game.
