A new post by 007 First Light reveals that a free DLC is on its way, with more information arriving later this week.
007 First Light has previously received free content, including update 1.1.0, which introduced two new TacSim missions, a new weapon, and additional cosmetics. Players have also been told about a new mission featuring Lenny Kravitz’s ‘Bawma’. However, the specifics of the latest free DLC remain unknown.
007 First Light Free DLC Releasing this Week
A new post on the official X account (formerly Twitter) confirms that a free DLC for 007 First Light is on its way. The developers told players to tune in on October 1 to learn more and that’s when the DLC will drop too according to their website. However, the tease doesn’t provide much information about what the DLC may include, whether it is cosmetics or new content. The tease features a video of a car zooming past a scenic route, and the caption reads, “A free DLC is just around the bend,” so could it be car-related? Can’t say for sure; we will have to wait for the info to drop later this week.

If you check out 007 First Light’s Year One content roadmap, it includes several details for players to look at. First, the developers say the Tactical Simulation Mode will receive a range of new content throughout the year. Then we come to the Bawma will return mission, which specifically states that it will bring players back to “Aleph’s dangerous black market in Mauritania, where players can prove their driving skills in off-road encounters.” The off-road mention also links to the car tease; however, it isn’t definitive proof that IO Interactive is indeed teasing the Bawma mission as free DLC for First Light.
