A new announcement confirms that PlayStation Plus Essential players will receive 3 new games in October 2026.
PlayStation Plus Essential players get a new set of games each month to add to their personal library. The Essential tier was basically the original PlayStation Plus offering where players got a select few free games every month. However, since then, it has evolved into new tiers and different libraries, demos, etc with Premium and Extra.
PlayStation Plus October Games Revealed
All the PlayStation Plus October games will be available to download from October 6 to November 2. First up is F1 25, the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, featuring single-player experiences such as Career and My Team 2.0, plus a brand-new multiplayer mode in F1 World.
Next is Hunt: Showdown, which is a different take on an extraction shooter where players explore the corrupted backwaters lost to history, facing off against twisted monsters and other ruthless hunters. Last but not least is Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, where players fight numerous enemies, design their team, select equipment, and more in either 4-player online co-op or 2-player split-screen.
Players have also been informed about Spider-Man Brand New Day avatars, which are included with PS Plus, and the horror fest packs, which include Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle, Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack, and the Overwatch 2 Dragur Reinhardt + 5 Tier skips Pack.
