An updated PS5 jailbreak has surfaced, which makes both the original base model console and superior PS5 Pro hardware susceptible. The jailbreak discovery was actually made a few weeks ago, but the newest gets around certain restrictions.
The act of jailbreaking in gaming has been around since the dawn of time. Modders and engineers always find a way to jailbreak a device, allowing you to download illegal applications to them, mod them, and play games you shouldn’t be able to. Up until recently, the PlayStation 5 has proven impenetrable…but now it’s one after another.
PS5 & PS5 Pro Jailbreak Possible
The first thing to note is that this is illegal, and Sony will not take kindly to people hacking into their PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles. However, as reported by @manfightdragon on X, the impossible now seems very real:
‘New PlayStation 5 jailbreak just dropped. Every PS5 console can now be jailbroken except ones updated in the past week or so. Huge.’
The account added ‘Pro too,’ in response to a question about console eligibility.

Furthermore, a new YouTube video from MODDED WARFARE says: ‘The new 13.60 Relapse Jailbreak is here! Load the Jailbreak within a few seconds from firmware 7.00 up to 13.60.
Be warned: The consequences for doing this will be extreme. Jailbreaking can result in your console breaking, having your PSN account permanently banned, and, of course, potential legal ramifications for doing this.
It’s likely that there will be additional jailbreaks to circumvent future PS5 software updates.
