PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 is set to begin on October 24 with 16 of Counter-Strike’s top-rated teams duking it out in Romania’s capital.
PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 sees the final Tier 1 event before the VRS deadline for the PGL Singapore 2026 Major. That makes it a hugely important tournament for the fates of these rosters.

PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 Predictions
Spirit seems like the pre-tournament favorites, having won EWC and BLAST Open Porto. Despite suffering a disappointing loss to MOUZ at Pro League, the roster still has shown signs of progress this season, and ultimately still has Danil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets to carry them when they’re not at their best. After an uncharacteristically bad event at Pro League, donk is almost guaranteed to bite back in Bucharest.
FURIA finally have a monkey off their back. They have delivered a retirement-year trophy for Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo by winning TWC. They have retained a trophy that came in the middle of their 2025 form, and they may even be able to recapture that form now that they have confidence.
With Vitality not at full strength, it definitely feels like FURIA are higher in the pecking order for PGL Masters Bucharest than they have been the rest of the year. The same can be said for MOUZ, who once again were demolished by Vitality at Pro League, but won’t face the full five that have tortured them so often.
Missing their IGL Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire, Vitality can have a bit of fun at the event and not worry too much about losing. The roster’s victories at StarSeries and ESL Pro League have shown the team can get back to top form after missing a piece. That will be the goal once apEX returns, as the roster aims to peak for the PGL Singapore Major.
It feels like forever since we’ve seen FUT play competitive CS. The roster has not played a single series since BLAST Porto in September. That event led to Álvaro ‘Sunpayus’ García being drafted into the FUT roster three weeks ago, but he will only make his debut in Bucharest.
The addition of Sunpayus should probably lead to a bit of a reset in expectations as they get adjusted to each other. After finishing as runners-up at EWC 2026, that might be a bitter pill to swallow, but the idea is that it will eventually lead to even greater heights.
Looking at the lower end of the teams, the event is hugely important for NAVI as they look to qualify for the PGL Singapore Major. NAVI has already signed up to an open LAN, one that clashes with the playoffs in Bucharest. That is a sign of how desperate the org is getting as they aim to retain their status as the only org to attend every Valve-supported Counter-Strike Major.
NAVI face a tough opening matchup against G2, whom they did manage to overcome at ESL Pro League before narrowly missing out on Playoffs due to a painful loss against Parivision.
Predicted Winner: Team Spirit
