Call of Duty has confirmed that Modern Warfare 4 will feature early access for its campaign, with more details below.
The next mainline installment in Activision’s popular series has been announced: Modern Warfare 4 is set to release on October 23, 2026. Players can look forward to a campaign that can be played offline and “returns to the series‘ roots.” Additionally, the developers have shared details about early access for the game.
Modern Warfare 4 Campaign Early Access Begins on October 16
A new blog post confirms that Modern Warfare 4’s campaign will be available through early access on October 16. All you need to do is pre-order or pre-purchase the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition of the game on XBOX Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 5, Battle.net, Steam, or Nintendo Switch 2 to get early access to the campaign. The developers have also revealed that pre-orders for the Switch 2 will open later this year.
What is Modern Warfare 4’s Campaign About
In the campaign of Modern Warfare 4, players will take on the role of Private Park, a young South Korean soldier experiencing live combat for the first time. What begins as a routine mission quickly escalates into a full-scale invasion by North Korea. Additionally, the beloved character Captain Price returns as an operator-turned-outlaw. He is on a quest for revenge, seeking a powerful weapon; however, his actions inadvertently trigger a conflict much larger than he anticipated.
The campaign includes large-scale battles, covert missions, arms warfare, and cinematic set pieces, with “grounded combat and gameplay variety across a war that spreads far beyond the front lines.” More intel for Modern Warfare 4 is coming soon.
