MindsEye is not experiencing the best launch, with most players complaining about PC performance issues, bugs, glitches and more. Amidst these launch issues, it seems MindsEye has begun cancelling sponsored streams too.
MindsEye is a narrative-driven, single-player action adventure developed by Build a Rocket Boy and published by IO Interactive. The development team is led by the former President of Rockstar, who has been involved in developing several GTA games, including GTA 5. However, despite all the PR for the game, MindsEye missed the mark on launch day.
MindsEye Cancelled a Twitch Creator’s Sponsored Stream
In sponsored streams, the developer and publisher pay the content creators to play their game on a live stream while discussing and promoting it to their audience. However, as spotted by The Gamer, MindsEye has cancelled one of these sponsored streams at the very last minute. Ethan Gach’s new post on BlueSky shows Twitch Streamer CohhCarnage revealing how he was asked to cancel their MindsEye sponsored stream right before launching the game.
CohhCarnage told his audience that this was the first time such a situation had occurred in their streaming career. Just as they changed the title for the sponsored stream and prepared to launch the game, CohhCarnage’s management contacted them, stating, “The sponsor does not want to do this right now.” MindsEye developers told CohhCarnage’s management that they wanted to reschedule the sponsored stream.
The streamer stated that although this was a first in his career, and the sponsor has decided to cancel the sponsorship for now, they think it was the “right decision” for MindsEye.
