Benjamin Burnley, who you might know as the frontman of Breaking Benjamin, recently brought a concert in New Jersey to a full stop to rant about Fallout 4’s modding scene. The tirade was centered around a mod he’d created for Fallout 4 called True First Person, and how another modder was bullying him and disparaging his creation.
He petitioned the audience to hop onto Nexus Mods and download his mod, and even when the crowd started asking him to just play music, he refused to give in. On a huge screen alongside the stage, the mod’s name was promoted in bright red text, prompting those in the crowd to get online and check it out.
Breaking Benjamin Altering Perspectives
Burnley’s mod, True First Person, is a simple thing that allows users to see their entire body when using the game’s first-person mode, rather than just a pair of floating arms and nothing else. These days, most first-person games allow you to see your body, legs and all, but Fallout 4 is more than a decade old, so bear that in mind.

The mod’s description reads:
Fallout 4’s vanilla first person shows a pair of floating arms. This mod replaces that with a True First Person perspective where your player character’s full body is rendered and visible in first person. Look down and you’ll see your body, legs, clothing and equipped gear as part of the same character you see in third person.
Your perspective also stays in first person during interactions that would normally force the camera out, such as workstations, power armor, etc. Third person is unaffected.

During the New Jersey show that Burnley halted to promote his mod, he explained why he was doing it:
There was a modder in the community that was really mean to me and bullying me. He was saying, ‘Your mod is sh**, you don’t know what you’re fu**ing doing.’
He then said he’d be plugging his mod every night of the show, aiming to ‘blow his fu**ing downloads out of the water.’
Burnley suggested that even the non-gamers in the crowd, or those who aren’t Fallout fans, should go and download the mod from Nexus to help boost his numbers.
He explained:
When you post a mod, you’re supposed to be able to grow and learn and make it better, but this fu**ng a**hole was sh**ing on my mod!

Breaking Benjamin has been going for almost thirty years, and historically, the band has ties to the gaming space. In 2004, they recorded a track called Blow Me Away specifically for the Halo 2 soundtrack, which ended up playing during the mission dubbed ‘Gravemind’.
