EA Sports decided to give fans a late Tuesday evening surprise with the release of the gameplay deep dive for Madden 26. In addition to the deep dive trailer that you can see below, EA Sports release a full blog going over what players will see on the field in the latest installment of the long-running franchise.
“Built From Sundays. Madden NFL 26 brings a new AI-powered machine learning system trained by real play calls and game situations over nearly a decade to deliver more explosive gameplay—with new coach and player-specific traits, authentic play styles, and more,” EA says.
If you are waiting for more details on game modes like Superstar and Franchise, those will be coming in a later date.
Madden 26 Gameplay Features
With Madden 26’s gameplay, EA Sports is introducing a number of improvements and new features. Those improvements include an overhauled QB DNA system that will see quarterbacks in game better mimic what their real-life counterparts do on the field. There’s also the Wear & Tear system that made its debut in College Football 25 last year along with updates to “foundational football”.
Other additions include a Coach DNA system that allows for more unique play calls to be made “powered by machine learning”; an updated weather system that impacts the play on the field; new depth chart positions such as edge rushers, nose tackles, and more; and custom defensive zones for better coverage.

Madden 26 launches on August 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Those who decide to buy the Madden 26 Deluxe Edition will get to play three days early starting August 11.
