To conclude the Black Ops 6 Zombies storyline, Activision revealed that the final map is coming in Season 5.
For the first time since 2021, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 marked the return of round-based zombies. The mode initially launched with two maps, but Treyarch added three more across several seasonal updates.
Between Citadelle Des Morts, Liberty Falls, and Shattered Veil, fans have generally been pleased with the strong selection of maps. And Zombies fans don’t have to worry about another drought without their favorite game mode, as it is returning in Black Ops 7, and there will reportedly be six fully-fledged round-based maps. But before turning the page to BO7, BO6 has one more map for fans coming soon.
Final Black Ops 6 Zombies Map Coming in Season 5
During the latest Call of Duty Podcast, Activision’s senior director of studio communications, Stephanie Snowden, revealed, “The finale of the Black Ops 6 Zombies story, including the new map, will launch in Season 5.
Snowden claimed that the map is “awesome,” but was unable to confirm anything other than that it will launch at the start of Season 5.
Fans had previously hoped that the map would be released in Season 4, but they will have to wait a little longer.
Based on the current Battle Pass, BO6 Season 5 is expected to start on July 24. This means we still have a decent wait until the new map, but all signs point toward Treyarch closing the story off with a bang.
In other Call of Duty news, Black Ops 7 will not feature jetpacks, pre-orders will go live on June 20, and other leaks are starting to circulate.
