A new job listing reveals that Lies of P developer is on the lookout for an AI creator to generate concept art for their games.
It’s been a long time since we heard anything new from the Lies of P franchise; the last thing players received was the Overture DLC shadowdrop during the Summer Game Fest. We do know that there’s a new game in development from the studio; however, not much has been revealed. The latest development from the developer is a job listing for an AI creator.
Lies of P Publisher Wants to Leverage Generative AI to Maximize Art Production Efficiency
Neowiz has posted a new job listing for an AI Creator at Round8 Studio, the developer of “Lies of P,” as spotted by TheGamer. The listing indicates that Neowiz is looking for an individual who can leverage generative AI to improve the efficiency of the art production process and enhance the visual quality of its games. Their goal is to merge artists’ creativity with AI’s productivity to develop the art pipeline for Round8 Studio.
The responsibilities of this AI creator at Lies of P studio will include creating concept art for characters and backgrounds, as well as developing variations using Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, etc. Along with concept art, the AI hire will have to work on AI-based texturing and “modeling assistance using image-to-3D technology, and asset creation.” The AI creator will also need to integrate these AI tools into existing art workflows to help decrease the production timeline.
The Round8 AI creator will also have to train AI models, help with post-processing, high-resolution upscaling, and identify the latest generative AI trends.
In other news, Neowiz has announced that Lies of P and the Overture DLC have cumulatively surpassed 3 million copies sold. Additionally, the Lies of P director has stated that their next game will not disappoint. What are your thoughts on Lies of P studio hiring an AI creator to generate concept art?
