How Often Will Champions Be Added to League Classic?
In modern-day LoL, champion releases have slowed down, with Locke being the only new character released in 2026.
However, Meddler has confirmed that LoL Classic will receive more frequent champion updates.
Speaking about Classic getting more champions on Reddit, Meddler said:
“We’re thinking quite a bit faster than a few per year, though it does depend on how people engage with Classic, what other features they want, which order we tackle champions in (some take a LOT more work than others to re-create) etc.”
He also confirmed that the game’s new community voting system, The Council, will have a big say on the order that champions are added to the nostalgic mode.
