Is League of Legends Getting a New DJ Sona Skin After K/DA Collab?

The new EP ‘Firestarter’ by League of Legends K-pop sensations K/DA has release with the surprising return of DJ Sona.

Girls, the final song on the K/DA Firestarter EP features DJ Sona as one of the artists, alongside Sophie Power, Sorana, Royal & The Serpent.

DJ Sona was an Ultimate Skin released back in 2015 for 3250 RP (~$25) with three musical forms players could toggle between.

Now, leakers are claiming that the artwork from ‘Girls’ is a preview of a new Sona skin coming next month.

What Can We Expect From the New Sona Skin?

According to the reputable League of Leaks account, Sona is getting a new music-themed skin on November 18.

This means the skin will release with LoL Patch 26.23, the second-to-last update of 2026.

The new K/DA Firestarter skins featured two Mythics only available through gambling in LoL’s gacha system, The Sanctum.

It’s unlikely that this Sona skin will also be a Mythic, considering one released earlier this year in Prestige Requiem Sona.

The skin will be part of the new music theme for the season, which has seen the return of all of LoL’s music acts.

True Damage recorded this year’s LoL Worlds anthem, while HEARTSTEEL also received new skins and released a new song.

Rock band Pentakill, which Sona has a skin for, also returned for a more metal version of the LoL Worlds orchestral theme.

What are you hoping for from the new Sona skin and what rarity do you think it’ll be? Let us know on the Insider Gaming Discord.

Additionally, K/DA and True Damage have been confirmed for the LoL Worlds 2026 final. And for even more Insider Gaming delivered directly to your inbox, sign up for our newsletter.
