As the name implies, two-hand in Elden Ring Nightreign refers to using a weapon with two hands rather than using a shield in your other hand. Knowing when and how to do so could be the difference between winning and losing a run.
Every character in Elden Ring Nightreign has a weapon they start with. For example, Guardian wields Guardian’s Halbred. However, you are free to use any weapon you want during a run with no class restrictions. And loot is procedurally generated, meaning you will find different weapons to use on each expedition.
Once you get more comfortable with a character, you will learn which weapons work best with them. And in some instances, it makes more sense to use two hands on a weapon instead of one.

Pros and Cons of Two Hand in Elden Ring Nightreign
While two-handing a weapon, you deal more damage and also have a higher chance of landing critical hits.
However, this comes at a price as two-handed attacks cost more stamina, so it is much harder to dodge attacks and deal damage at the same time.
Thankfully, that’s not an issue for Raider. Taking damage boosts Retaliates Potency, which is a Character Skill that puts you in an attack stance and deals a punch strike. It deals a large amount of damage and can break an enemy’s stance.
While using Retaliate, you also get a large amount of damage negation, allowing you to stand close and take a blow. Raider has a large amount of HP and Stamnia, so it’s easier to use two-handed weapons up close, and taking damage isn’t an issue.
Guardian is also a beefy character, so using two-handed weapons works with them as well. For other characters, it’s still possible but not recommended.
In other gaming news, Black Panther was cancelled because it wasn’t far enough along in development, The Witcher 3 is to get one more patch with cross-platform and mod support, and Halo will reportedly have a “big announcement” this year.
