Elden Ring Nightreign Sees 2 Million Players In One Day

Elden Ring Nightreign has only been out for less than 24 hours in most places, and it’s already seen its player count soar up the charts.

In a post on social media on Friday, the official Elden Ring account announced that there have been 2 million “Nightfarers” to play Nightreign in the first 24 hours.

“Darkness fell over Limveld, and two million Nightfarers rose up against it,” the message reads. “Thank you for your support.”

It’s worth noting that the post specifically says “Nightfarers”. That makes it somewhat difficult to differentiate if they mean 2 million players or sales. The game isn’t available as part of any subscription service, but there is the option to share accounts and Steam family sharing.

Insider Gaming has reached out to Bandai Namco for clarification on whether its 2 million in sales or players. Either way, for Elden Ring Nightreign to see a player count that high in less than a day, it has to be viewed as nothing short of a success for Bandai and FromSoftware.
