How to Get Sableye in Pokémon Pokopia

Fresh content has arrived in Pokémon Pokopia with the Sableye’s Gem Hunt Event, which sees the Johto Pokémon make a Pokopia debut and leaves the treasure-hunter ready to add permanently to your world.

Sableye arrives as the fourth event-exclusive arrival in Pokopia, following on from fellow Johto Pokémon Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff, and there’s every chance that additional Pokémon will arrive in this way moving forward.

If you’re desperate to make friends with Sableye in Pokémon Pokopia and want to know how to do tghat, Insider Gaming has all the details.

Unlike the majority of other Pokémon in Pokipia, Sableye does not appear after creating the required habitat, and is instead a guaranteed spawn during the Sableye’s Gem Hunt event.

When logging into Pokopia during the event, the game informs you that a Pokémon is the “talk of the town,” and Sableye is found loitering outside a Pokémon Center in whichever area you spawned into.

After interacting with Sableye for the first time, you are tasked with gathering Red Crystal Fragments and exchanging them with the Pokémon for limited-time rewards, with the approach exactly the same as it was for the previous event with Hoppip.

This does mean you are unlikely to be able to set Sableye’s home immediately, as the Pokémon will largely spend its time inside a Pokémon Center waiting for trades, but check back outside of operating hours, or after the event has ended, to get Sableye to follow you to the house you want to set for them.

How to Make a Treasure-Hunting Set Habitat in Pokémon Pokopia

Creating the Treasure-Hunting Set Habitat in Pokémon Pokopia is relatively easy, requiring just three items, but each of them is only available to purchase for a limited time during the Sableye’s Gem Hunt event.

To create a Treasure-Hunting Set Habitat in Pokopia, an Adventure Kit, Map and Compass, and Treasure must be placed alongside each other. Each of these items is a reward for exchanging Red Crystal Fragments during the Sableye event, costing a total of 20 Fragments for the trio.

Once the event has expired, the items may still be available by using time skipping on your Nintendo Switch console to set your time and date back to the period of the event, but an easier way will be to use the 3D Printer inside a reconstructed Pokémon Center to create the items.

Doing this requires Pokémetal Ingots and a photo of the item you want to replicate, so you may need to visit someone else’s island and snap a picture of the item.
