During the latest iteration of the XBOX Games Showcase, the developers finally announced the early access and release dates for Halo Campaign Evolved, with the title set to arrive in July 2026.
The last time players received new details about Halo Campaign Evolved was in October 2025, when the developers released a 13-minute gameplay demo and announced the PS5 release. Now, the day has finally come to let players know when they can dive into this remake.
Halo Campaign Evolved Release Date Set for July 2026
During the latest showcase event, Halo Campaign Evolved received another full-blown trailer, and at the end, players were informed of the release and early access dates. The game is set to release on July 28, 2026. The announcement also informed players that It will be available Day One with Game Pass.
Halo Campaign Evolved Pre-Order and Deluxe Edition Details
Halo Campaign Evolved pre-orders will provide players with 5 days of early access, starting July 23. They will also reveal Classic 2001 Marv V Armor and Assault Rifle Skins, along with Gilded Onyx Armor and Assault Rifle styles. The standard edition costs $49.99, and the Premium Edition is priced at $69.99.
For the price of the premium edition, players will receive the Alpha Halo Armory Pack, featuring 5 Master Chief Armor skins & 6 weapon skins, an Art of Halo: Campaign Evolved Digital Artbook, a Halo: Hungry Buzzards Digital Short Story, and a Digital Game Manual.
The upcoming title is a modernized remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign, allowing players to experience the original story with high-definition visuals, updated cinematics, and refined controls, along with three new prequel missions featuring the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson. The campaign is available to play solo or in a 4-player online co-op mode, featuring full crossplay and cross-progression support. This makes it an excellent option for long-time fans returning to the series, while also serving as an inviting entry point for new players, particularly those on PlayStation.
In other news, a new report details the next mainline campaign project from Halo Studios and includes a job listing. Additionally, Halo Studios is apparently hard at work trying to deliver the original trilogy all over again, with Halo 1, Halo 2, and Halo 3 Remakes.
