A new collab in the upcoming Fortnite season has been revealed, and it turns out it isn’t the Minecraft crossover that everyone predicted it would be.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 is set to be themed around icons from the world of gaming, with Sonic the Hedgehog already confirmed, while Epic Games has teased the likes of Tetris, Crash Bandicoot, and Pac-Man.
Another teaser was one that many in the community believed to be hinting to a long-awaited Minecraft collab, but it turns out that isn’t the case at all.
99 Nights in the Forest Fortnite Collab Revealed
A teaser for the new Fortnite season instead revealed a collab with Roblox hit 99 Nights in the Forest will be part of the major crossovers next season.
In the footage, Peely is shown fishing in the environment before the deer from the Roblox hit appears in the background and walks down the hill toward him.
The ‘SurviveTheNight’ text string that was revealed to be referring to 99 Nights in the Forest was previously thought to be a hint to a Minecraft collab, as that wording is present in the bio of the game’s official X account.
It remains to be seen what the collab with 99 Nights in the Forest will include, but there’s plenty of options, including skins or an in-game boss for players to defeat.
More is expected to be revealed in this weekend’s Story Event, and it seems that Epic Games is now revealing collabs on a daily basis, having previously revealed Sonic.
