Star Wars Droid Tycoon has plenty of Droids to collect and build to expand your collection, and one of the most elusive Droids to find early in the game for many players is the BB.
Fortnite‘s Droid Tycoon has taken over following the launch of the creative mode, available due to Epic Games‘ close relationship with Disney, and raises expectations for the success of future collaborations.
If you’re grinding through the game but have got stuck in the hunt for a BB, Insider Gaming has some tips to help you in your hunt.
How to Get a BB in Star Wars Droid Tycoon
Like every spawn in Droid Tycoon, there is no guaranteed way to obtain a BB. However, there are some options to improve your chances.
Completing Daily Missions should always be your priority, as the high rewards they provide include rarer Droids, like the BB, and Upgrade Chips. While the pool of Droids you can get through these is large, it will keep you busy while you wait for a BB, and there’s a chance of securing one.
Additionally, it’s advised that you always ensure you are constantly dispatching Astromech Missions from your base. While the higher-tier missions take longer to complete, the rewards you can obtain are second to none.

A less obvious method is to ensure you are on a server where the average Rebirth level is high. It’s not officially confirmed, but I’ve found that the higher the average of the lobby, the more regular the higher-end spawns appear on the Sandcrawler.
For example, BB’s are a regular occurrence in my lobbies now that I am at a higher Rebirth level, so make sure you are playing with friends who have grinded through the game, or bounce around public lobbies until you find one with players who are a higher level.
The spawn rates aren’t confirmed, but it certainly seems like rarer and higher-tier Droids appear more regularly when you are at a higher level, which makes sense, as it would be tedious to see Gonk Droids again and again.
Should You Use a BB In Star Wars Droid Tycoon?
Yes, BB’s should be immediately put to work in your base as they are one of the best Astromech Droids you can obtain, particularly if you’re at the level where you require a BB for rebirth.
A base-level BB provides 150 Credits-per-second, increasing to an impressive 1.2k-per-second at Diamond level, and while that is significantly eclipsed by the Legendary Astromechs you can obtain later down the line, the chances are these are superior to anything else in your collection.

You’ll also need to have a Gold BB active in your base to increase to Rebirth Level 7, and if you’re not having luck with Sandcrawler spawns, upgrading a base BB directly could be the fastest way to progress.
As always, keep a close eye in the credits-per-second each Droid provides, and keep any Droids you’ll need for Rebirth later on in the rest area, if they’re not being used, to save yourself the headache of finding them all over again.
