XBOX COO, Helen Chiang, Responds to Rumors of Policy Violation

In a post titled Clarity is Kindness, Chiang clarifies a few points that had been surfacing. She states that she did not leak confidential information, leave to join a competitor, discriminate, bully, harass, participate in insider trading, embezzlement, or fraud, and did not leave due to being passed over for a larger role.
‘I don’t want my departure reduced to an inaccurate story about incompetence, ambition for the next big job, or a Nelson-level scandal. My story is about staying true to your core values, especially when it is hard. That’s the legacy I hope to leave behind.’
XBOX has been undergoing a large amount of layoffs since CEO Asha Sharma was appointed in February of 2026. However, they remain optimistic about the future of the brand as consoles continue to have higher demand than supply.
