A reliable insider has revealed that Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi 3 is “far in development”.
Players have been eagerly anticipating the announcement of the final installment of the trilogy from Respawn Entertainment, especially since it’s already known that the game is in development. It appears that the wait may soon be over, as an insider has suggested that an announcement could be coming soon.
Star Wars Jedi 3 is ‘Far in Development’ and an Official Announcement Should Be Soon
The information about Star Wars Jedi 3’s development progress comes through a post by Jason Schreier on BlueSky. Schreier said Star Wars Jedi 3 is “far in development,” while development on Star Wars Battlefront 3 hasn’t even begun yet. In a follow-up comment in the same thread, Schreier reiterated that Star Wars Jedi 3 is still coming and “should be officially announced soon.” The comments were shared under a post about Mass Effect being canceled because Star Wars Battlefront 3 was a safer bet.

Earlier this year, players also got some information about the protagonist of the Star Wars Jedi series, Cal Kestis, with a representative stating they have a lot more Cal stories coming; however, it wasn’t clarified whether that meant games, new series movies, or other media based on the character. The last official comment on Jedi 3 from Respawn came in 2024, when the studio revealed that they are “working hard to bring the final chapter of this thrilling story to players.”
