A new limited-time StarCraft crossover for Diablo Immortal drops on May 13 and will run till June 10. Read below to know what’s included.
New content for their mainline series, Diablo 4, was released last month, with the Lord of the Hatred expansion bringing loads of new content for the title. Now, the free-to-play mobile spin-off of the franchise has revealed its content plans, starting with a crossover with StarCraft.
Diablo Immortal x StarCraft brings New Boss Fights, Dungeon Mutations, and More
A new press release reveals all the content included in the Diablo Immortal X StarCraft collab. The Sanctuary will see the arrival of The Swarm, which will bring new boss fights, dungeon mutations, familiars, and crossover rewards to the table. Players will see the introduction of a new Legendary Gem, the Baneboil, which can be used to keep enemies at bay with “corrosive explosions”. Players will also explore Infested Rifts, Dark Ascension, and embody the Queen of Blades with a new Phantom Market.
Infested Rifts are Elder Rifts that mutate during the Aeon of Stars, which brings players the Feral Hydralisk boss. Completing these rights will provide exclusive Legendary weapons and special affixes. The Aeon of Stars event will also allow players to face off against “Tal’Darim Templar and Ascended Archon units in a limited‑time boss fight reimagined for Diablo Immortal.”
Moreover, a Conqueror variant will introduce faction-themed Shrines tied to StarCraft’s iconic forces. Activating these shrines will give players powerful orbs that are in line with their chosen faction. Terran gets Stim Pack, which provides +30% Attack and Movement Speed for 8 seconds. Zerg gets Poison, where attacks fire poison projectiles that apply damage over time. Lastly, Protoss gets Shields, which grant a protective shield that absorbs damage.
