Bungie recently announced that it is ‘not done‘ with the Destiny franchise and is committed to preserving its legacy. They will start by restoring all the content that has been vaulted over the years. It appears they will provide updates to players on how they plan to manage the unvaulting process in the coming days.

Spotted by TheGamePost, Bungie’s head of product, Josh Deane, told players through X (formerly Twitter) that the team is “looking at next week to queue up the update” for Destiny 2’s unvaulting process. In a previous post, Deane had acknowledged that players would have questions about unvaulting and any potential future updates to Destiny 2 and what’s beyond for Destiny. He had stated that it will be a very intentional process and will talk about their first step towards the end of October.

Deane has clarified that the upcoming update will not be presented as a traditional roadmap. Instead, he plans to discuss it “through the lens of a progress bar.” He aims to bring the community closer to the development milestones, clearly communicate the challenges they face, and provide players with tangible evidence of the work being done.
Players should note that Josh Deane has not provided an exact date for when the communications will arrive.
